Linda Elaine (Packett) Christensen was born to LaVern Dale and Elaine (Pluta) Packett on September 3, 1948 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. She attended Tecumseh Public Schools and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1966.

Linda married Roger Mc-Courtney. He passed away October 12, 1987. She married Doug Christensen and he passed away July 31, 2009. Linda worked at the Campbell Soup Company for many years and became a government inspector there. She also had various other jobs, waitressing at the Ace Café’, Harvest Bowl and Ramsey’s Family Fountain. But being a grandma and a GG, were her most important jobs. Linda was a kind-hearted person who lived a simple life. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, and especially babysitting her grandkids and spoiling her great-grandkids. She passed away June 3, 2026 at her home in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 77 years.

She is survived by her daughters Jackie (Mike) Parrish and Michelle Eltiste and son Jeff (Shelly) McCourtney, grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Behrends, Seth Parrish, Brady (Dana) Parrish, Courtney (Jordan) Junker, Mackenzie (Jesus) Castor, Alicia (Stephen) Ripley and Sydney and Curran McCourtney, great-grandkids, Marleigh, Foster, Jovie, Millie, Navy, Nix, Grayson and Nova, sisters, Ranae (Tom) Othmer, Tammy (Brad) Meister, Cindy (Mike) Trimmer, Lori (Jim) Parrish, brothers, Steve Packett, Alan Packett and Rick Packett, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Roger McCourtney and Doug Christensen, brothers, Bob and Randy Packett and nephews, Joey Packett, Randy Packett, Jr., Scott Meister and Jeremy Othmer.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh, Nebraska with Pastor Ken Tubbesing officiating. A register book signing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2026. Memorials may go to the family’s choice. Inurnment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
