TIMOTHY ROGER FOX
Timothy Roger Fox was born to Roger C. and Dorothy (Hayes) Fox on September 17, 1958 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. He was baptized, had his first communion and was confirmed at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tecumseh. Tim attended St. Andrew Catholic School through the 5th grade and graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1976.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Liz” Sears on November 11, 1984 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. This union was blessed with one son, Erin.
Tim worked for the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad for over 30 years, retiring in 2018. He held many positions on the railroad from laborer to track inspector. In his spare time, Tim enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and collecting items that were the same year as his birth, especially his Ford 901 tractor and his Chevy Delray. He was an avid student of the history of Tecumseh and a voracious reader of all things John Grisham. In his younger days, Tim enjoyed snow skiing in Colorado with friends and family. He and Liz enjoyed family vacations to Table Rock Lake in the fall and Snowy Range in Wyoming in the summer. Tim was a strong supporter of Liz’s endeavor to open Liz’s Flower Shop and helped her behind the scenes.
Tim passed away May 3, 2026 at his home at the age of 67 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Liz, son Erin of Lincoln, sisters Diana Cupich and husband Rich of Omaha and Julie Fox-Rauner and husband Jon of Omaha, brother Mike Fox of Omaha, brothers and sisters in law, Lois and Ken Rosenthal of Johnson, Pat Lipps of Dixon, IL, Jan and Jordan Pettus of Solon, IA, Bobby Logan of Nebraska City, Charlotte and Greg Bowen of Humboldt, Marilyn and Eldon “Red” Mannschreck of Syracuse, Tom and Bev Sears of Hiawatha, KS and Sarah Sears of Tecumseh, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Dorothy, brothers-in-law Ken Lipps and Dan Sears and sister-in-law Rita Logan.
A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Ken Tubbesing officiating.
Memorials may go to the family’s choice. Services were entrusted to Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
