Robert P. Russell, 89, of Beatrice, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. He was born on July 30, 1936, in Auburn to Lester and Vivan (Fulton) Russell. Bob attended school in Auburn and graduated from Milford Trade School. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1953 to 1956. On December 16, 1956, he married JoAnn Caspers in Auburn, and they moved to Beatrice in 1965. He owned and operated Beatrice Quality Heating and Air Conditioning for many years. Bob was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the American Legion, Eagles Club, and Patch and Powder Gang, all of Beatrice, and Pawnee Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife JoAnn Russell of Beatrice; daughter, Julie (Allyn) Weyer; sons, Mark Russell, John (Pam) Russell, and Pat (Janene) Russell; 14 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Kent Russell; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Russell and wife Kathy; parents, Lester and Vivian Russell; sister, Barbara (Keith) Allen; brother, Ronald (Charlotte) Russell; sister-inlaw Linda Russell.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor James Anderson officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday.

Inurnment of the cremains will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice with military rites conducted by the Marine Corps Honor Guard and Bitting-Norman Post #27 of the American Legion of Beatrice. A register book will be available for signatures from noon until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Fox Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
