1934 – 2026

Carol Elaine (Kienker) Bogle, age 91, of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away, on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Nye Summit in Louisville, NE.

Carol was born on December 24, 1934 the daughter of Paul William Kienker and Helene Katharina Emma Frieda (Rabe) Kienker in Johnson, NE. Carol was born, raised, and educated in Nemaha County, NE. She attended country school and graduated from Johnson High School with the Class of 1952. Following graduation, she furthered her education by attending the Commercial Extension School of Commerce in Omaha, NE. Carol began her career working at a law firm before becoming the bookkeeper at Auburn Machine Works in Auburn, NE.

She met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Clyde Bogle, at a baseball game in Johnson. The two were united in marriage on December 5, 1953, at Zion Lutheran Church in Johnson. They made their home in Auburn from 1953 to 1957. In 1957, the family moved to Plattsmouth and opened Mullenax Auto Supply. Carol played an integral role in the family business, serving as bookkeeper and office manager. Together, Carol and Bob built not only a successful business but also a loving home, where they raised their children in Plattsmouth. Carol was a member of First Lutheran Church and the First Lutheran Women’s Ladies Guild in Plattsmouth.

Carol is survived by daughter: Linda Swoboda and husband Gary of Estes Park, CO; two sons: Randall “Randy” Bogle and wife Candice of Auburn, NE and Mark Bogle and wife Terri of Plattsmouth, NE; daughter-in-law: Jina Bogle of Plattsmouth, NE; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Dunn and husband Seth, Robert J. Bogle and Megan Butcher, Ashley Aerts, Katie Bogle and Jonathan Johnson, Jaclyn Bogle, Emily Bogle and Chaz Bogle; six great grandchildren: Teagan Bogle, Helena Dunn, Annabelle Bogle, Noah Dunn, Molly Aerts, and Weston Johnson; her brother: Delynn Kienker and wife Marilyn of Estes Park, Co; two sisters-inlaw: Muriel Bogle of Nebraska City, NE and Sharon Bogle of Humbolt, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Helene Kienker, husband: Bob Bogle, and son: Lee Bogle.

Visitations was held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at First Lutheran Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Ryan Maser officiating and Marsha Fleming as organist.

The Pallbearers will be Elizabeth Dunn, Ashley Aerts, Katie Bogle, Jaclyn Bogle, Emily Bogle, Helena Dunn, Annabelle Bogle, and Molly Aerts.

The Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert J. Bogle, Chaz Bogle, Teagan Bogle, and Noah Dunn.

Carol’s Final Resting Place will be Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, where she will rest beside her husband, Bob and her son, Lee.

The family suggests memorial donations to First Lutheran Church.
