JERRY D. REEVES 1943 - 2025

JERRY D. REEVES 1943 - 2025

Jerry Dean Reeves, 82, of Nebraska City passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Ambassador in Nebraska City. He was born on July 7, 1943, in Auburn, Nebraska to Daniel and Edith (Brennan) Reeves. He was raised on the family farm near Peru where he attended country school. Jerry graduated from Peru Prep High School with the class of 1961. On October 13, 1961, Jerry was united in marriage to Nancy Ann Moser in Kansas. To this union three children, Diana, Wade, and Lisa were born. The couple lived in Auburn before moving to Peru to help with the family farm. Along the way, Jerry bought land and cattle to increase his own farming business. He raised his family to know the value of hard work. Everyone was feeding chickens, walking beans, gathering cattle, and even bottle-feeding orphan calves. No matter how young or small you were, all were expected to do their part.

Jerry didn’t have many hobbies; raising kids, cows, and crops kept him pretty busy, but he loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Jerry enjoyed watching Huskers and Chiefs football, cruising around the farm on the side by side, and having daily meetings with his coffee group at Casey’s.

Jerry is survived by his daughters: Diana Reeves of Nebraska City, Lisa Reeves of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren: Derek Harms and wife Tiffany of Peru, Regan Moran and husband Chris of Nebraska City, Tyson Reeves and wife Lauren of Millard, Jadyn Reeves of Council Bluffs, IA; Alise Reeves-Youlio and husband Jonathan of Florida, 9 great-grandchildren, brother Larry Reeves and wife Linda of Jonesboro, TX; his sister Beverly Perry of Peru, sisters-in-law: Marcia Reeves of Peru, Sharon Reeves of Nebraska City, his special dog Sparky, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy Ann, son Wade Reeves, brothers Carroll and Richard Reeves, and brothers-in-law Gary Perry and Richard Moser.

Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th street in Auburn, Nebraska with Pastor Jackie Gfeller officiating. Interment was immediately follow services at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Peru, Nebraska.

Memorials contributions are suggested to the family with a later designation.
