EUNICE ELAINE (BEHRENDS) WEBER

1939 - 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Eunice Elaine (Behrens) Weber, who left us on October 8th, 2025. Born on May 28th, 1939, to Melvin and Eileen Behrens in Cook Nebraska, Eunice was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Cook.

Eunice married Keith Weber on December 8, 1957. Together they lived a cherished life on the Weber farm 3 ¾ miles south of Cook. From this union came 4 children, Tim, John, Mike and Joy. Eunice was a meticulous home maker who cherished her husband and children.

Eunice will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She devoted all of herself to ensuring the well-being of her family. She especially enjoyed cooking, shopping and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events throughout the years. In her later years she enjoyed taking rides with Keith which included weekly outings to Runza in Syracuse for a cheeseburger the Runza way.

She is preceded in death by parents Melvin and Eileen(Mittelberg) Behrens, parents-inlaw Fred and Ruth Weber, brother Roger Behrens, sisterin- law Peggy Behrens, brother- in-law Roger Weber and daughter-in-law Cindy Weber.

Eunice is survived by husband Keith, children Tim(Joyce) Weber of Tecumseh NE, John(Jane) Weber of Mesa AZ, Mike(Penny) Weber of Cook, Joy Knapp of Omaha, NE. Grandchildren Chris Weber, Ryan Weber, Sarah(Cris) Heitland, Katie(Riley) Strader, Megan(Al) Wirth, Holly(Alex) Kuhl, Lindsay(Grant) Badertscher, Brandon(Jess) Knapp, Cody(Tia) Knapp, Eleni(Karalina) Knapp and 10 great grandchildren, Maisie and Henry Heitland, RJ Strader, Neil, Sydney and Max Wirth, Alder, Jude, Beren and Lenni Knapp as well as extended family and friends. Her devotion to loved ones was evident in everything she did, and she will be profoundly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Cook. The service will be livestreamed on the Grace Lutheran Facebook page. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Cook.
