DYLAN FLOCK
Dylan Michael Flock, age 31 of Avoca, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on the night of Monday, September 29, 2025, at his home.
Dylan was born on August 24, 1994, to Toni Ann (Soriano) Byfield and Richard Patrick Flock in Nebraska City, Nebraska. He graduated from Auburn High School in 2013, where he participated in football and track.
Dylan met the love of his life, Katherine (Katie) Mahar, in the summer of 2014, and they were married on June 14, 2023, in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Dylan was a hard and dedicated worker and held various jobs at Herzog, Kawasaki, Smart Chicken, and most recently, Patriot Millwright Services. As a member of the Millwright Local Union #1463 in Omaha, Dylan was a jack of all trades and held a lot of pride in his work.
From a very young age, Dylan took an interest in cars. He enjoyed working in the pits with his dad and watching him race at Eagle Raceway on summer Saturdays. Dylan also spent many hours in his garage working on his truck, car, and 4-wheeler and logged countless miles driving down backroads listening to 80s rock, country, and metal music. He loved to shoot and hunt with his brothers and friends. On any given weekend in the fall, you could find Dylan passionately cheering on his Nebraska Cornhuskers, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Green Bay Packers with a Busch Light in hand.
Dylan is preceded in death by his grandmothers Joann Massengale, Janice Soriano, and Kathryn Byfield, grandmother-in-law Norma Anderson, and uncles Randy Flock, Ronald Flock, Bud Rainey, and Mike Andrew.
