Marian Faye was born July 7, 1948, in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Victor G. and Faye A. (Smith) Bundfuss. She was raised in Elk Creek where she received her education then graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in accounting.

Marian worked on a farm for 20 years. She moved to Johnson, Nebraska and worked in the nursing field at Auburn. After relocating to Lincoln, she worked at INS, Nebhelp and Comfort Keepers as a CNA.
