ROGER McMANN
ROGER McMANN
Roger Lee McMann, the only child of Woodrow “Jake” and Margaret Jeanette (Lotter) Mc-Mann, was born May 16, 1947, in a farmhouse south of Auburn, Nebraska. He attended Howe School through the 8th grade and then went to Auburn High School.
On August 18, 1967, Roger married Linda Volkman. They were blessed with three sons Terry, Eric, and Dustin. Roger and Linda would later divorce.
Roger farmed and drove a truck for nearly 50 years hauling everything from livestock to jet fuel. There are few places he hasn’t been in a truck. Many lessons passed on and memories made with his three sons while farming and going down the road in the Kenworth.
Roger had recently moved to Lincoln, Nebraska so that he was closer to his sons Eric and Dustin. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Roger passed away peacefully at Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln. His parents and son Terry preceded him in death.
Remembering Roger with love are his sons and daughters- in-law Eric and Kirsten of Bennet, Dustin and Cara of Firth, Natalie McMann of Potosi, MO; grandchildren Kailyn and Carter, Leyton and Callie, and Bryson; other relatives and friends.
A graveside funeral and committal service, officiated by Rev. Jackie Gfeller, was Friday, September 26, 2025, in Bedford Cemetery at Howe. Roger’s grandchildren Kailyn McMann, Carter McMann, Leyton McMann, Callie McMann, and Bryson McMann. Burial followed the service.
