NORMA (NELSON) STINSON

Norma Jerolyn Stinson was born to Conrad Edwin and Kathryn Sue (Gilbert) Nelson in Gothenburg, Nebraska.
She was married the first time and two children were born to this union, Rick and Barb Williams. After her divorce, Norma married Kenneth A. Stinson at her parent’s home in Stella, Nebraska on August 11, 1957. To this union two sons were born Randy and Floyd. They made their home in Tecumseh where they raised their family. Kenneth passed away December 31, 2012. Prior to her marriage, Norma worked for the Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh, but the remainder of her life she spent taking care of her family including her grandson, Jeffery.
Norma always enjoyed the various wildlife that passed through her backyard, especially feeding all types of birds. She always had a great love of animals, especially dogs and cats. Norma raised Pomeranians for a time and dearly loved her cat Snickers. She did lots of crocheting for her family over the years. Norma dearly loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Norma passed away July 5, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side at the age of 90 years.
She is survived by her daughter Barb Wenzl and husband John of Spokane, WA, son Floyd Stinson and wife Linda of Elk Creek, son Zachary Stinson of Hutchinson, KS, 15 grandchildren, and even more great and great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law Jack Stinson and wife Wilma of Tecumseh and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Rick Williams and Randy Stinson and grandsons Joseph and Jeff Stinson, sister Joanne Wheeler and husband Dick, infant brother Jimmy, brothers Bill Nelson and Jerry Nelson who passed away July 6th, one day after his sister Norma passed.
Graveside memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska with Father Christopher Kubat officiating. Memorials may go to the family’s choice.
Inurnment was in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska. Services were entrusted to Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
