Dubuque-Charles “Chuck” G. Wiebke, 79, died at home with his family by his side on July 5, 2025. He was born on February 20, 1946, in Tecumseh, NE, the son of Martin and Emma (Spanjer) Wiebke.

Charles graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science. Charles owned and worked as a pharmacist at Palmer Drug, pharmacist at Union Pharmacy and Walgreens, for a total of 35 years. Charles enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, bowling and traveling with his family; he was also an avid Bears and Cubs fan.

Charles married Elizabeth “Betsy” Bodell on December 26, 1998. Charles is survived by their two children Emma Wiebke and Grant Wiebke of Dubuque, IA. Along with Charles’s adopted three children from his first marriage, Tracy (Wiebke) and James Wood of Woden, IA, Travis and Julie Wiebke of Mason City, IA, and Troy and Emily Wiebke of Mason City, IA. Charles is survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Wiebke) Saathoff of Sterling, NE, Eunice (Wiebke) and Gary Wieble of Richmond, WA and brother Ivan and Julie Wiebke of Holyoke, CO.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son David, brothers Robert, Everett, Stanley and Ralph, sister Sandy Armkenecht, and two grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held July 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM at Leonard’s Funeral Home, Dubuque, IA. The family wishes to thank the team at Hospice of Dubuque.
