Nemaha County Hospital’s Sleep Study Program has successfully completed its latest accreditation survey through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), earning a valuable accreditation.
The successful survey reflects the hospital’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and patient care. As part of the accreditation process, ACHC evaluates healthcare organizations against established standards designed to promote quality and consistency in patient care.
Following the recent survey, ACHC notified Nemaha County Hospital that the Sleep Study Program had been approved for accreditation and that no further action was required. The program will not need another accreditation survey for three years.
“This is a great accomplishment for our Respiratory Therapy team and everyone who contributed to preparing for the accreditation survey,” said Makayla Swiercek, RRT, Director of Respiratory Therapy at Nemaha County Hospital. “Achieving accreditation with no deficiencies demonstrates the hard work and attention to detail our team brings to patient care every day.”
Preparation for the survey involved collaboration across the hospital, including ensuring documentation, processes, and practices met ACHC standards.
“We are proud of the work our Respiratory Therapy team does to provide quality care for patients in our community,” said Marty Fattig, CEO. “A successful accreditation survey with no deficiencies is a reflection of the commitment and teamwork of our staff and the high standards they hold themselves to every day.”
Nemaha County Hospital’s Sleep Study Program provides diagnostic services to help identify sleep-related conditions and connect patients with appropriate care. Accreditation provides an additional measure of accountability and reinforces the hospital’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, high-quality services close to home.
“Maintaining accreditation isn’t just about preparing for a survey,” Swiercek said. “It’s about continuing to meet high standards every day for the patients who trust us with their care.”
Nemaha County Hospital is proud to recognize its Respiratory Therapy team and the many staff members who contributed to this achievement.
