Auburn Sweeps Blue Devils Ahead of Subdistrict Play

Auburn earned some momentum entering the postseason with a win in straight sets over Plattsmouth at home Tuesday night.

Auburn junior Emery Taylor led all players in kills with 19 to go with 16 digs, also a game-high. The Bulldogs tallied 41 kills in total on the night, compared to just 19 for Plattsmouth. Setter Nora Jacobitz made an impact as well, notching 36 assists and 8 digs, while Heidi Gerdes did a bit of everything, finishing with nine kills, three service aces, and two blocks.

The Bulldogs handled Plattsmouth fairly easily in all three sets, allowing just 10 points in the first set, 12 in the second, and 16 in the third. Auburn cruised to the win in three sets to improve to 19-11 on the year.
