Johnson-Brock put up 64 points to remain unbeaten with an 8-0 record after defeating JCC by a score of 64-28 in Tecumseh Friday night.
Sophomore Coy Behrends, who has stepped up after quarterback Wyatt Fulton was injured a couple weeks ago, threw for 401 yards and five touchdowns with one interception to lead the Eagle offense.
Three Eagle receivers: Deacon Bernadt, Justin Meyer, and Kingston Neddenriep all surpassed 100-yards receivers, combining for 376 yards and five touchdowns through the air. Ben Parriott led the ground game with 161 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries.
JCC’s Trey Lubben also recorded 108 yards for the Thunderbirds, who were able to score three touchdowns through the air and one on the ground, but JCC couldn’t keep pace with the Eagles.
Johnson-Brock led 50-28 at halftime and shut the Thunderbirds out in the second half to earn the win on the road, dropping the Thunderbirds to 1-7 on the year.
