Chili fans will have a chance to compete while supporting a good cause at the “Chili for a Change” cook-off Thursday, Oct. 29.
The event, which benefits Project Response during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Nemaha County 4-H Building in Auburn. A free will donation is encouraged and take out will be available.
Entries may include chili and cinnamon rolls. Judges will name first, second and third places for both.
Proceeds will benefit Project Response, Inc. a local nonprofit that provides crisis intervention, advocacy and education for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in southeast Nebraska.
To register, call 402-274-5092 or look for posters with a QR code around Auburn.
