The University of Nebraska-Lincoln enrolled 4,845 first-time freshmen this fall, its largest incoming class since 2017 and a 2.3 percent increase from a year ago.
Nebraska residents led the growth. The university enrolled 3,658 first-time resident students, up nearly 3.3 percent and the largest resident class in a decade.
Overall undergraduate enrollment reached 19,416, the highest since 2021. The incoming class also includes 1,135 first-generation students, up 5.9 percent.
