After a rescheduling of the 2026 ECNC softball tournament due to weather conditions, the conference teams were able to play the tournament games last Friday, September 25 in Auburn. Through more adverse weather on Friday, the Bulldogs won both of their conference games to win the ECNC title.

Freshman pitcher Tinley Dunn struck out eight batters and allowed only three hits in Auburn’s first round game against Falls City, leading to a 6-3 victory over the Tigers.

After Auburn went ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Falls City scored three runs in the third inning to take a 3-2 lead. Auburn would take the lead back with four runs scored in the bottom of the fourth inning, while the defense shut out Falls City in the final two innings to advance to the conference title game.
