Auburn Council to Hold Special Budget Meeting; Moves Forward on Land Purchase, Nuisance Property

The Auburn City Council will hold public hearings on the city's proposed budget and final property tax request at a special meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.

City Administrator Crystal Dunekacke told the council that the notice of budget hearing, the budget summary and the notice of the special hearing to set the final tax request would be published this week in the Nemaha Valley Observer.

The special meeting will include a budget presentation, a vote on the final tax request amount and adoption of the budget, Dunekacke said.
