“We always look forward to the start of the school year and the kids love seeing and playing with their friends,” said Kathi Mercure, principal at St. Andrew Catholic School in Tecumseh. The theme for the 2026-2027 school year is “One Heart in Christ”.
St. Andrew's teachers and students are looking forward to several fun activities throughout the year including a trip to the Children's Zoo in Lincoln and a visit to the Burki farm.
School hours at St. Andrew's School are 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Library Day is Tuesday with Brothers of the Eucharist serving as librarians. Sisters from Christ the King and Marian Sisters visit with the students at St. Andrew School once a month. Fr. Thomas McGuire and Fr. Christopher Kubat visit the classrooms on a weekly basis.
