The Auburn Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded funds towards two ALTAIR 4XR multigas detectors.
The Auburn firefighters were among 24 from Nebraska conferred $40,000 through the Black Hills Corporation Foundation’s Funds for Firefighters grant program. The Foundation awarded $165,000 through 72 grants benefiting volunteer and combination fire departments across Black Hills Energy’s service territory. The grants are expected to positively impact residents in 72 municipalities across seven states.
Black Hills Energy serves natural gas customers in Auburn and Tecumseh.
