The Thunderbirds made it all the way to the finals of the top division of the 2026 MUDECAS volleyball tournament in Beatrice last week, but fell in two sets to the Freeman Falcons, ultimately finishing third in the tournament.
Johnson-Brock had a bronze medal finish in the A division, starting out with a win over Brunning-Davenport/Shickley in two sets. Johnson-Brock would meet JCC in the second round of the tournament, with JCC coming out on top in two sets.
The Lady Eagles finished the tournament with a win over Tri County in two sets to earn third place at the tournament.
