WES AND KATIE DeBuhr and neighbor Terry and Dollie Dettmann decided to honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 the best way Nebraska farmers know how: with farm equipment as part of a statewide effort to cover every state highway. Machinery decked out in American flags lined the east side of U.S. Highway 75 south of Auburn starting early morning Friday, Sept. 11. “We saw this opportunity on social media and thought it was a great way to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and use it as an education experience for our kids to have a conversation about this event in our history,” Katie DeBuhr said.
