SENCA Celebrates Six Decades of Service

FRIDAY MORNING, Sept. 4, staff of Southeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. (SENCA) gathered at Educational Service Unit 4 in Auburn. 

The organization has been working with Southeast Nebraskans 60 years.
Its trained professionals work one-on-one with economically challenged families. Programs and services assist families navigate through emergencies, improve skills, expand knowledge and reach a goal of self-sufficiency. SENCA serves residents of Johnson, Nemaha, Cass, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson and Sarpy counties. Program areas are community economic development, family outreach and youth education. In 2025, there were 128 households utilizing SENCA housing programs, 136 households using nutrition programs and 136 preschool children and families accessing SENCA Head Start preschool.
