A Scooter’s Coffee drive-thru will officially take the place of a long-blighted commercial lot after the Auburn City Council approved a $212,000 tax increment financing (TIF) package Aug. 25.
The council voted 5-0 in a special meeting to adopt Resolution No. 15-26, amending the city’s amended and restated core area redevelopment plan to add the SLB Holdings redevelopment project. No one spoke in opposition during a public hearing that preceded the vote, and council members raised no questions before the roll call.
Council President Nathan Seitz presided in the absence of Mayor Chris Erickson and did not vote. All six council members were present.
