Johnson, Neb. is the most recent addition to Nemaha County’s growing community art scene.
Hannah Webb, a Los Angeles artist who works under the name The Obanoth, spent two days this week spray painting a bald eagle on the wall behind the community garden on Main Street in Johnson.
Webb is in Nebraska as a guest instructor for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln muralist class taught by Sandra Williams, an associate professor of art. Williams brings a street artist or muralist to a Nebraska community each year. The Johnson project was funded through the Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Fund and the Convocations Fund.
