The Auburn Bulldogs overcame multiple deficits to defeat Mount Michael Benedictine 25–21 in their home opener Friday, Aug. 28.
Mount Michael scored first to take a 7–0 lead. Auburn responded with a touchdown, but a missed extra point left the Bulldogs trailing by one. Auburn later found the end zone again to take a 12–7 lead into halftime.
The Knights came out strong in the second half, scoring two consecutive touchdowns to move ahead 21–12. Auburn answered with a determined fourth-quarter comeback, scoring 13 unanswered points.
