The city of Auburn created a new subdivision called Westgate, which officially opened for development in spring 2025. Construction on the subdivision’s first home began in August. The Hugg family, of Auburn, is building a four-bedroom home, with Gerdes Construction as the contractor, and hopes to move in within the next several months.
