Winners Announced for Auburn Legion Beautiful Baby Contest

The Auburn American Legion Auxiliary Unit #23 hosted a Beautiful Baby Fundraiser during the 2026 Nemaha County Fair. The Auburn Auxiliary hosts this event to help raise money for their scholarship fund. 
The Auxiliary provides two scholarships per year to Auburn High School seniors and provides the fees for Girls State attendees.
Donations are collected during all three days of the fair. The top three babies with the highest collections “split the pot” with the Auburn Legion Auxiliary.
This year, 14 babies were entered. Without a doubt, they were ALL beautiful. The top three winners this year are Magdeline Powers Obermeyer in third place, Thomas Andrew LaGrone Jr. in second and Lachlan Alexander Nichols in first place. 
The Auxiliary Members would like to thank everyone that participated and all those members who assisted in the contest.
