Farmers Cooperative, in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation, is proud to announce a donation of $52,000 as part of their hunger program initiative. Farmers Cooperative contributed $26,000 to 31 local food pantries and backpack programs in southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. Additionally, the Land O’ Lakes Foundation awarded matching funds of $26,000, bringing the grand total to $52,000.
Local food pantries and backpack programs play an essential role in ensuring families and children have access to nutritious food when they need it most. These donations will help stock pantry shelves, provide fresh and shelf-stable food items, and support backpack programs that send weekend meals home with students. Through its partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation, Farmers Cooperative is able to amplify the impact of these contributions and further support organizations working every day to combat food insecurity across our communities.
Among these local organizations that received funds were Auburn Backpack Program.
Investing in the well-being of our communities is an important part of Farmers Cooperative. Through partnerships like this, we are proud to help local organizations expand their impact and provide meaningful support to neighbors facing food insecurity.
