The First National Bank of Johnson (FNBJ) Seniors went 4-0 in the Class B7 Area Tournament to clinch an area championship and advance to the 2026 Nebraska American Legion Class B Senior National Division State Tournament in Central City, where they opened up the tournament with a pair of wins against Roncalli and Norris.
After defeating Gering and Chadron in the opening rounds of the area tournament the week prior, the #3 seeded FNBJ Seniors advanced to the area final with a 6-2 win over top-seeded Sidney on Monday, July 27.
Christian Gage recorded three of Auburn’s 10 hits on Monday, as the FNBJ Seniors out-hit Sidney 10-2. Jackson Warner drilled a three-run homer past the right field fence to put Auburn ahead 3-0 in the top of the first inning.
