Project Response Inc. Moves to New Home

Area nonprofit Project Response Inc., which serves survivors of domestic and sexual violence and people in crisis across five southeast Nebraska counties, has relocated to 2507 Schneider Ave. in Auburn, the former home of APACE, tripling its space for client services.
The organization serves Otoe, Johnson, Nemaha, Richardson and Pawnee counties.
Executive Director Desaray Sardeson said the move gives the organization more room and a more accessible location near the Crestview Shopping area.
“We moved from an office suite of about 1,200 square feet that served us very well for many years,” Sardeson said. “Our new location is just about 3,600 square feet and allows us to expand offerings, have more dedicated space for client services, and is convenient for those needing to stop in for Project Pantry and other services.”
Staff completed the move in early July and are settling into the new space.
The Neighborhood Closet, Project Response’s secondhand clothing store at 1118 J St., remains at its current location.
Office hours for the new location remain Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon. Appointments are also available to assist survivors.
