The Post 2/330 Seniors earned a win in the opening round of the C4 area tournament over Adams, but suffered their first loss of the double- elimination tournament the next day to Tri County/ Meridian. As of the end of the weekend, Tecumseh/Johnson is 2-1 in the tournament after defeating Adams for the second time.
Host and #2 seed Tecumseh/ Johnson shutout #5 Adams 8-0 to open the tournament on Friday. Tecumseh/Johnson took a 1-0 lead after a bases-loaded walk and extended their lead with five runs in the fifth inning.
Elliott Brommer recorded two hits and four RBI to spur the team’s offense, while Tate Hawley kept Adams to just one hit and no runs in the first five innings, while striking out seven batters. Camden Dalinghaus struck out three batters and allowed one hit in the sixth inning, A Brommer single in the bottom of the sixth brought home two runs and ended the game with Tecumseh/Johnson winning 8-0.
