The village of Julian dedicated their restored post office and museum Saturday, completing a five-year preservation project. “We tripled our population on Saturday!” Beth Kernes Krause of the Julian Preservation Committee said. “We had around 150 people come and celebrate with us. Between the barbecue, the car show and entertainment it was a great day.”
The Julian Preservation Committee moved the small structure to a new foundation on 2nd Street, restored its exterior with period-accurate tin siding and outfitted the interior with vintage postal fixtures.
