The Auburn Juniors were one game short of the state tournament, falling to Plattsmouth in the B1 Area Tournament Final by a score of 13-5 to finish second in the tournament at Nebraska City.
Auburn was the top seed in the tournament, but fell to #4 Plattsmouth in the second round before earning their way back into the finals with three straight wins, the first being over Nehawka on Sunday, July 12.
On Monday, the AA Juniors dismantled second seeded Omaha Fusion by a score of 13-1. Nine of Auburn’s 13 runs came in the bottom of the first inning as Auburn took control early.
