K2 Construction Inc, has finished laying brick on 3rd Street from Broadway to one block north. The work has now returned to Broadway Street from 3rd Street west. Work on this section was interrupted when a kiln broke down at Endicott Clay Products, delaying the next delivery of bricks 2-3 weeks, according to Construction Manager Jeff Pelz with K2. “We moved to north 3rd Street to keep the project moving,” said Pelz. On Monday, the workers were back on Broadway west finishing the brick work. This section of street was expected to reopen about Tuesday noon. Work then will move to 3rd Street south from Clay to Webster Streets. This section of the project is expected to take about a month.
