Progress on the Longs Creek Water Supply project was presented to the Auburn Board of Public Works (BPW) Wednesday, May 20.
Ray Luhring, general manager, informed the Monday, April 29 board inspection by officials of the Nebraska Department of Water, Environment and Energy went well. There have been some minor issues, but the general manager continued Alan Slater, water and wastewater manager, has been keeping up with everything. BPW is awaiting delivery of some equipment. Slater will send a letter with photos to state officials indicating improvements were accomplished. Approval from state representatives will be forthcoming, Luhring continued.
He said the electrical, and water and wastewater crews “have done a fantastic job” in getting the project going. There were a few challenges, but Luhring noted everyone stepped up and figured out everything.
