Beck, Doeden Advance to General Election From Johnson County

Johnson County Republicans nominated Nicole Beck as county clerk and Channing Doeden as District 3 commissioner in the Tuesday, May 12 primary election.
Beck had 445 votes to 146 for County Assessor Terry Keebler with 2 write-ins. She will have no opposition Tuesday, Nov. 3. Doeden had 119 votes, Mike Buss 78, Wayne Snyder 29 with 2 write-ins. He will face Democrat Kale Huesman in November. Beck will succeed Kathleen Nieveen while Doeden will contend to replace Les Agena. Agena and Nieveen will leave office in January 2027.
There were 817 ballots cast in Johnson County, 29.46 percent of the 2,773 registered electors.

Governor: Republican Jim Pillen 364, John Walz 69, Sheila Korth-Focken 62, Gary Rogge 54, Jacy Todd 10, Sal Holguin 2 and 4 write-ins. Democrat Lynne Walz 149, Larry Marvin 25 and 1 write-in. Legal Marijuana NOW (LMN) James Chavat III 1 and Rick Beard none.
Secretary of State: Republican Bob Evnen 273, Scott Petersen 270 and 1 write-in. Democrat Sarah Slattery 147, Lee Cimfel 21 and 2 write-ins. Petersen earned the Republican nod.
U.S. Senate: Republican Pete Ricketts 432, Deb Axtell Schultz 64, Todd Knobel 53, Mac Stevens 18, Eric Mortimore 15 and 2 write-ins. Democrat Cindy Burbank 139, William Forbes 34 and 1 write-in. LMN Mike Marvin 1 and Earl Starkey none.
U.S. House of Representatives, 3rd District: Republican Adrian Smith 440, David Huebner 140 and 2 write-ins. Democrat Becky Kelly Stille 159.
