The Auburn baseball team went 3-0 last week, including an upset of the fourth rated team in Class C, Lincoln Christian, on the road on Tuesday evening. The win over the Crusaders will put the Class C field on alert as Auburn has won eight of their last nine games.
Mason Schultz struck out eight batters in a complete game at the mound for the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The senior held the Crusaders to four runs on six hits, while the Bulldogs racked up 10 hits leading to seven runs.
Sophomores Jack Hilgenfeld and Clayton Brown each recorded two hits in the win, while six other Bulldogs recorded a single hit. One of those batters was Sophomore Caleb Cover, who drove in three runs. Schultz recorded two RBI as well.
