The Bulldog soccer team dropped their only match of the week to Omaha North by a score of 5-0. This is the second loss to Omaha North for the Bulldogs this season, as the Vikings defeated the Bulldogs 1-0 on March 28.
In the rematch in Auburn on Tuesday, April 14, the Vikings came out hot, utilizing a favorable wind to net two goals in the opening minutes of the contest. Throughout the second half, the Bulldogs fortified their defense and earned multiple shots on goal late in the period, but none of Auburn’s attempts found the back of the net.
With the wind at their back in the second half, the Bulldogs looked to continue their attack and put points on the scoreboard, but the Vikings would get it rolling on offense again, scoring three more goals in the second half, topping Auburn by a score of 5-0.
