Fed-Ex Delivery Truck Struck by Train

ON FRIDAY, APRIL 10 around 12:15p.m., the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department received a call that a train had struck a Fed-Ex delivery vehicle. The collision occurred at the Union Pacific east-west crossing on 733 A Rd., around two miles west of Highway 75. The northbound Union Pacific train impacted the rear of the Fed-Ex vehicle, pushing it off the road to the northwest. The truck then caught fire, though the driver, Gunnar Hadley of Lincoln, was fortunate to get out with very minor injuries. The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department along with both Auburn and Johnson Fire and Rescue responded to the incident.
