Auburn’s Zhang, Gerdes Medal at Class B State Speech

Two Auburn Bulldog speech students earned medals Saturday, March 28 in the Class B state meet at Sunrise Middle School in Kearney.

Grace Zhang was third in extemporaneous. Kinsley Gerdes was fifth in humorous. Auburn tied for seventh in team Sweepstakes.

Also representing Auburn were: Jack Hayes and Lily Harrah, duet acting; Gavin Moyer, humorous; Hayes, informative; Alexa Janssen, Beau Thomas, Ella Ackley, Gillian Hanna and Gerdes, oral interpretation of drama; Addison Fankhauser, poetry, program oral interpretation and serious and Thomas, persuasive.
