Over the past few months, Auburn residents have watched the building at 1002 J Street transform from an unused property to a vibrant green taco shop. Now, after all the preparation and renovation, Alondra Moreira has officially opened Memo’s doors for business.
The first day open was Wednesday, March 18 around 7:30 p.m. Moreira had hoped to be open for the morning commute, serving breakfast burritos and other early bird dishes, but a few wrinkles still needed to be smoothed out, like the speaker for the drive through. Memo’s was up and ready to dish out great food the following morning, though, and sizable lines formed for each of the meal-time rush- es. "The business received the first few days open has been amazing.”
Tacos are, of course, a prominent menu item, both hard and soft shell, but Memo’s has something for anyone on the menu. Included in Memo’s options are fajitas, enchiladas, chimichangas, tamales and so much more.
