Persons seeking county and state offices presented Saturday morning, March 21, at the Nemaha County Republican convention. The event was at the Johnson Community Center and Library.
In all cases, winners of the Tuesday, May 12 primary advance to the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election.
Scott Petersen, secretary of state: A first-time candidate, he has been building businesses and creating jobs in Nebraska more than 30 years, including a political consulting company. Petersen indicated he has spent the last 15 years “helping recruit and elect good Republican leaders across Nebraska.”
