The Auburn Bulldog speech team had 19 of 20 entries earning medals Wednesday, Feb. 25 at the East Central Nebraska Conference speech meet at Mead. The unit placed second. 

Individual results are as follows:
Humorous: Gavin Moyer, first and Kinsley Gerdes, third.
Informative: Jack Hayes, first and Laurynn Fankhauser, fourth.
Persuasive: Hunter Stevenson, second and Beau Thomas, third.
Extemporaneous: Colt Zentner, third Place and Grace Zhang, fifth.
Oral Interpretation of Drama: Beau Thomas, Kinsley Gerdes, Gillian Hanna, Alexa Janssen and Ella Ackley, third; and Elijah Powell, Ian Mather, Hunter Stevenson, Kyle Jones and Solomon Jacobitz, sixth.
Entertainment: Ian Mather, fourth.
Poetry: Addison Fankhauser, fourth and Karlito Holthus-Hunt, fifth.
Program of Oral Interpretation: Addison Fankhauser, fourth and Kyle Jones, sixth.
Serious: Gillian Hanna, fifth and Addison Fankhauser, sixth.
Duet Acting: Elijah Powell and Ian Mather, fifth; and Lily Harrah and Jack Hayes, sixth.
Seventh at Plattsmouth
The Auburn Speech Team traveled to Plattsmouth Saturday, Feb. 28, to compete in the Blue Devil Invite. The team placed seventh out of 22 schools that represented all classes in the Nebraska School Activities Association competition field. The results are as follows:
Persuasive: Merit finals, Beau Thomas, first and Next-in finals, Hunter Stevenson, fourth. 
Entertainment: Merit finals, Kyle Jones, second. Next-in finals, Ian Mather, second and Marc Bohling, third.
Program of Oral Interpretation: Merit finals, Kyle Jones, second.
Duet Acting: Next-in finals, Nora Jacobitz and Solomon Jacobitz, second; and Elijah Powell and Ian Mather, fifth.
Oral Interpretation of Drama: Merit finals, Elijah Powell, Ian Mather, Hunter Stevenson, Kyle Jones, Solomon Jacobitz, second. 
Humorous: Merit finals, Marc Bohling, third. Champs finals, Gavin Moyer, fifth.
Informative: Next-in finals, Laurynn Fankhauser.
 

March 10 Speech Night
The Bulldog speech students will present this year’s entries Tuesday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at Speech Night at the senior high school.
