SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT sprung into action when a fire broke out near Peru on Friday, February 27. The call came in around 11 a.m. with the fire being mostly contained by 4:30 p.m. Aerial assistance was provided with this refuel happening around 3:15 p.m. at the Auburn Airport. Area Fire Departments responding were Nemaha, Peru, Brock and Auburn.
