Auburn Branch of Union Bank and Trust Donate to Catholic Social Services
AUBURN’S UNION BANK AND TRUST (UBT) donated 118.6 lbs of food and personal care items to the Catholic Social Services (CSS) Food Market on Tuesday, February 17. One of many different fundraiser and volunteer projects UBT holds throughout the year, employees made a point to ask CSS what items they were in need of most. This turned out to be both food stuffs as well as bathroom and toiletry items. The result, a heaped pile of various snacks, meals, shampoos and conditioners, toothpastes and many more items to help those in need. It was also noted that, after enough volunteer events are hosted by any particular branch of UBT, the company itself would then donate $100 to a charity of the branch’s choosing. Pictured above with the total donated items are, from left, Emily Volker, Buffie Jones, Brett Oltman, Pam Adams, CSS’s April Boellstorff, Shelby Harms and Conner Lusk. Not pictured but participants in the fundraiser were Wendy Rowell and Kay Heidzig.
