The Johnson County Central (JCC) Cheerleaders have had an outstanding competition year, showcasing their talent and dedication at the recent 2026 Nebraska State Cheer and Dance Competitions held in Grand Island. The squad proudly earned Runner-Up titles in both the C2 Game Day Small Squad Division and the Unified Cheerleading Division.

Support from the local community played a significant role in the cheerleaders’ success. Several parents rallied together to cheer on the team during this state competition, and in true cheer fashion, local squads joined the JCC crowd, responding enthusiastically to call-outs from the sidelines.

Local businesses, including H&R Block, The Branding Iron, and KTK Karate, also stepped up to support the team throughout the competition season by providing snacks, drinks, and meal items. This community involvement helped create an encouraging atmosphere for the cheerleaders as they prepared for their performances.
