The Auburn Bulldogs closed out the regular season with a strong 63-39 win over the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds on Feb. 20 in Auburn.
JCC kept the game close early and trailed just 14-12 after the first quarter. Auburn turned the momentum in the second quarter, tightening its defensive press and limiting the Thunderbirds to six points while building a 33-18 halftime lead. The Bulldogs maintained control throughout the second half, gradually stretching the advantage to the final 24-point margin.
The win capped a 21-1 regular season for Auburn.
