The Sterling Lady Jets squeezed by the Pawnee City Lady Indians 45-42 in first round of the Class D2-1 subdistrict girls basketball tournament played at Weeping Water on Monday, February 16.
“It was a lot of fun,” said Sterling’s Head Girls Basketball Coach Josh Pfeiffer. “I feel like this game was a demonstration of what we thought we could be this season.”
According to Pfeiffer, some of the things the Sterling girls have been struggling with over the course of the year, came together.
