APS 2026-2027 School Year Begins Aug. 14

There will be 173 student and 184 teacher days during the 2026-2027 school year at Auburn Public Schools.
There will be dismissals of 11:15 a.m. at Calvert Elementary and 11:30 a.m. at the middle/senior high school the first day of classes, Friday, Aug. 14 and the last day of classes, Wednesday, May 19.
Early dismissals for afternoon teacher in-service are 1:15 p.m. at Calvert and 1:30 p.m. at the middle/senior high school. Other highlights:
 

August
Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 5 through 7 and Thursday, Aug. 13: All day teacher in-service.
Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 10 through 12: School closed.
 

September
Friday, 4: Afternoon teacher in-service.
Monday, 7: School closed, Labor Day.
Monday, 28: All day teacher in-service.
 

October
Thursday, 15: End of first quarter.
Friday, 16: All day teacher inservice.
Monday, 19: Start of second quarter.
Thursday, 29: Parent-teacher conferences, 9 a.m. to noon,  1 to 4 p.m., and 5 to 8 p.m.
Friday, 30: School closed.
 

November
Tuesday, 24: Afternoon teacher in-service.
Wednesday through Friday, 25 through 27: School closed.
 

December
Wednesday, 9: Afternoon teacher in-service.
Friday, 18: End of second quarter and first semester.
Monday through Friday, 21 through 25; and Monday through Thursday, 28 through 31: School closed.
 

January
Friday, 1: School closed.
Mondays, 4 and 18: All day teacher in-service.
Tuesday, 5: Start of third quarter and second semester.
February
Mondays, 1 and 15: All day teacher in-service.
 

March
Friday, 12 and Wednesday, 24: Afternoon teacher in-service.
Friday, 12: End of third quarter.
Monday, 15: Start of fourth quarter.
Thursday and Friday, 25 and 26; and Monday and Tuesday, 29 and 30: School closed.
 

April
Friday, 16: Afternoon teacher in-service.
 

May
Tuesday, 4: Last day seniors.
Sunday, 9: Graduation.
Wednesday, 19: End of fourth quarter and second semester.
